When you come looking for me, you'll find me.
Yes, when you get serious about finding me and want it more than anything else,
I'll make sure you won't be disappointed.
(jer29:13.14-TMB)
this verse remind me of the game that children love to play which is hide-and-seek
i imagine it as if God is like a Father...who's playing the game with his child.
He would hide and watch his child come and looking for him. His heart is so excited and wondering if his child would finally find him. Then when he sees that the child has grown a bit tired of looking for him but not finding him, he would somehow give a clue by...dropping things, coughing or sometimes calling his child's name slowly...
and when the child realise that...the quest is continued.
until finally the child the father and both they would laugh in joy. the child for finding the father and the father for being proud of the persistent effort of the child in finding him (although with a few cues :p)
well, back to the verse...God is just like that. Sometimes, He would play hide and seek with us. At times, it seems like we can't find Him anywhere around...but He's always watching us. When we start to grow tired of looking for Him, He would then give us some clues...He would "drop things", "coughing" or even calling our names...until we follow the clues and voila! we find Him
God is not hard to find when we have a persistent heart and sharp ears and eyes to catch the clues...and in this case, i'm still learning too. sometimes my ears are too deaf to listen and my eyes are too blur to see the clues...some efforts needed to clear the heart and make my ears and eyes able to function again
So, if God is playing hide and seek with you now...better enjoy the game and open ur heart, eyes and ears to find Him...you will.
